    Tony Elumelu Foundation with its headquarters in Nigeria is an Entrepreneurship Training programme tailored to train,mentor and fund 10,000 Africans.The aim is to create about 1M jobs and generate about $10bn to the African economy.The Tony Elumelu family has contributed over $100m in funding. The 2021 edition is the 7th since inception and  application is opened in 1st January to 31st March 2021. Stages for the programme: Once you are shortlisted for the programme you would take part in the rigorous business training and mentoring sessions.After completing the training you would answer the quiz and then develop a business plan then the pitching stage and finally the seed capital stage. Tony Elumelu Foundation released names winners of it's Entrepreneurship programme for 2017 on 21st of March.Applications started from January 1st and was supposed to end in March 31st but due to the large amounts of applications it closed after the second week in March.Over 93,000 application were received,which is about twice the application in 2016 and four times in 2015. 1000 winners came from 55 countries.Nigeria produced the highest number.Kenya,Uganda and Cameroon were next in size of winners.29% came from Agriculture,11% from ICT and 9% from Manufacturing.The winners would receive a seed capital of $10,000 to enable them establish their companies. The programme has helped in developing the skills of participants thereby enhancing their capacity.Many have gone to set up running business thereby providing employment to Africa and contributing positively it's GDP growth.

Tony Elumelu Entrepreurial Foundation was initially created to groom 10,000 entrepreneurs for ten years-1000 annually.It started in 2015 when 1,000 entrepreneurs where chosen out of 20,000.They number represented Anglophone,fancophone,Lusophone and Arabic bloc in Africa.The remaining 19,000 entrepreneurs will receiving online trainings.The 1000 successful entrepreneurs underwent a two day training and received a loan of $5,000.The list for 2016 successful entrepreneurs are out. http://tonyelumelufoundation.org/teep/
