Tony Elumelu Foundation with its headquarters in Nigeria is an Entrepreneurship Training programme tailored to train,mentor and fund 10,000 Africans.The aim is to create about 1M jobs and generate about $10bn to the African economy.The Tony Elumelu family has contributed over $100m in funding.
The 2021 edition is the 7th since inception and application is opened in 1st January to 31st March 2021.
Stages for the programme:
Once you are shortlisted for the programme you would take part in the rigorous business training and mentoring sessions.After completing the training you would answer the quiz and then develop a business plan then the pitching stage and finally the seed capital stage.
Every participant is classified accordingly:
-Preparatory(You would just go through trining on TEC Connect.You would not be eligible for mentorship or seed capital)
-Startup/Beginner(You are a starter and you would through the beginner training modules and you would have access to world class mentors during the programme.
-Innovator/Intermediate
-Disruptor/Advanced
