 Home secretary  of Britain,Suella Braverman just recently announced that  from January2024,  dependents of foreign students would not be allowed to come  to UK. Under the current students visa which commenced in 2021, Masters students are allowed to come to UK with their dependents,After successful completion of their studies they can apply for Two Years Post Study Visa- with the sum of 715 pounds-and stay back and apply for jobs. With the new proposal,In January 2024 students that come into UK would not be allowed to switch to work visa until they complete their studies.From January 2024 Only PHD students would be allowed to bring in their families. Last year 2022 Nigeria topped the list of countries with the highest number of dependents with  about 60,923  dependents entering the UK.India came second with about 39,000 dependents and followed by Pakistan,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
